Olas: Key Activity Metrics
"Service transactions" involve autonomous services, typically autonomous agents, that run via the Olas protocol. These software systems interact with data sources, achieve consensus, and act based on collected information. Each transaction is paid for by a human user, demonstrating implicit value through increased activity.
"Mech requests" are on-chain agent requests for AI tools via the Mechs marketplace. Mechs act as autonomous services that perform off-chain tasks like LLM operations. Agents pay a cryptocurrency fee, Mech selects the AI tool, processes the request, and returns results on-chain. Mech Requests are a subset of "Service Transactions," indicating the need for OLAS DAO's services and the active involvement of Agents.
"Daily active autonomous services" (DAAS) count active autonomous agents or services performing tasks within the ecosystem daily. These agents have specific functions and contribute to decentralized agent economies. Tracking DAAS helps monitor agent engagement in service transactions, mech requests, and other interactions within the Olas network. Autonomous agents are SAFE smart accounts represented by multi-sig.
