Introduction

Tokens that are non-fungible (NFT) can be verified as genuine and owned thanks to their immutable digital identifiers that are stored in a blockchain and can't be duplicated or split up in any way.

Reddit is home to thousands of communities, endless conversation, and authentic human connection. Whether you're into breaking news, sports, TV fan theories, or a never-ending stream of the internet's cutest animals, there's a community on Reddit for you.

Collectible Avatars are limited-edition avatars made by independent artists, in partnership with Reddit, and provide owners with unique benefits on the Reddit platform. If someone sets their Collectible Avatar as their avatar on Reddit, they can mix-and-match the avatar gear with other Reddit avatar gear and accessories, and their profile image in comments sections will have a glow-like effect.

Crypto Unicorns is a new blockchain-based game centered around awesomely unique Unicorn NFTs which players can use in a fun farming simulation and in a variety of exciting battle loops.

The Martians NFT is the guaranteed ticket to board The Mars Metaverse Project. \n It will work as a VIP pass to our project to do a lot along with the growth of The Mars.

ZED Run is a horse racing simulation game built on Polygon blockchain that had recently announced its ZED Token claiming period. The ZED Token is a fungible token that will become the main utility and in-game currency of ZED Run

Method

Whereas, we haven’t Polygon NFT transactions Sales table, so we have to rely on polygon.core.fact event logs table.

By use of this table and the 'TransferSingle' event name I tried to find all Mint transactions. I found the value of event inputs:” _from” is addressed to NFT seller for secondary sales when its not NULL address as "0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000", But when from address is this NULL addresses then transactions refer to Mint a NFT. While The event inputs:” _to” field indicates which party (minter or buyer) will receive the NFT, whereas the event inputs:” _id” field indicates a specific NFT. The NFT Collection is also referred to by the contract address. Reddit NFT mint transactions have the origin function signature of 0x669f5a51, 0x5a86c41a.

The Transfer event name is broadcasted by NFT sales and mints in other Polygon collections. To verify that the sale or minting of a new NFT is associated with the transaction, I filtered event inputs: tokenId to not be NULL. Similar to Reddit, the value of event inputs:from is "0x000000000000000000000000000000000000" for mint transactions and "NFT seller" for secondary sales. The NFT's token ID can be found in the event inputs:to field, whereas the NFT's recipient (minter or buyer) can be found in the event inputs:to field. I have only taken Completed Transactions into account by tx_status = SUCCESS.

To calculate the sales volume, I used polygon.core.fact_token_transfers table and joined it with event_logs table by mutual TX_HASH, and filtered transactions by raw_amount > 0. So considered those transactions that had amount value in ETH, and obtained volume calculated in terms of ETH volume.

At the final part I tried to distinguished the user who have transactions before buying Reddit NFTs or not, also who has interactions with NFT marketplaces or not, and new users who bought NFTs for the first time.

Analysis

The table and chart right, presented an overall view of sales metrics for Reddit NFT.

As can be observed, the number of Minter wallets is over 2.86M, total number of minted 552.36K and etc.

Secondary market Buyer & Seller refer to who purchased Reddit NFTs in secondary market and didn’t mint it.

✍🏻 Conclusion

As of findings above:

• The number of Minter wallets is over 2.86M, total number of minted 552.36K and etc.
• Secondary market Buyer & Seller refer to who purchased Reddit NFTs in secondary market and didn’t mint it.
• The Reddit NFTs sold out more than 167 ETH in total.
• In comparison to the vast bulk of Polygon's NFT collections, Reddit NFT is clearly superior.
• Sales transactions count, sales volume in ETH, average sales price, and floor price are following this trend over time.
• Also cumulative sales count and volume against to Polygon NFTs in general, increased in Reddit NFT over time.
• New users with Reddit NFT increased over time.
• In its first three months, Reddit NFT beat Martians in ETH sales volume, number of sales, and buyers and sellers. Compared to Reddit NFT, this collection attracted more customers and dealers and sold more.

As of charts above can be seen the sales transactions count, buyer & sellers increased over time.

In Oct 4th, the number of sales transactions, buyers & sellers reached the highest point over time.

In Sep 9th, the average sales price in ETH peaked at 0.12 ETH, and in Oct 24th the most volume of Reddit NFTs sold out in 40 ETH, that was all-time high of sales volume and fulfilled by 649 transactions.

The total amount of sales volume is more than 167 ETH as of cumulative chart right.

:hourglass_flowing_sand: Polygon NFTs in general & Reddit NFT

Here, I've made some attempts to compare and contrast Reddit NFT with Polygon NFTs in general, and to evaluate these measures.

Reddit NFTs have experienced a significant uptick in daily sales activity over time, as shown in the figures below, whereas sales statistics for other Polygon NFT collections have remained relatively stable or even slightly decreased.

In comparison to the vast bulk of Polygon's NFT collections, Reddit NFT is clearly superior.

Sales transactions count, sales volume in ETH, average sales price, and floor price are following this trend over time.

Also cumulative sales count and volume against to Polygon NFTs in general, increased in Reddit NFT over time.

:telescope: Findings:

• As of current section visuals, its observable that New users with Reddit NFT increased over time.
• Also, the count of new users who have had more than 1 day interactions increased as same as NFT buyers.

:hourglass_flowing_sand: The Comparison Reddit NFT vs Major Polygon NFTs Sales

I'll be contrasting the NFT sales activity on Reddit with those of some of the more prominent NFT collections on Polygon over time.

Given the disparity in time frames, I'll be bringing along a copy of Reddit's NFT's over-time charts in addition to the one from the other big NFT collection.

The following comparison charts feature Reddit NFT and The Martians collection, but can be easily adjusted to feature any two collections using header tape.

:telescope: Findings:

According to the data presented above, Reddit NFT outperformed Martians in its first three months of operation, both in terms of ETH sales volume and the number of ETH sales as well as buyers and sellers. A larger number of buyers and sellers were attracted to this collection, leading to higher sales, compared to similar offerings on Reddit NFT.

As can be seen the trend of assessed metrics for Reddit NFT are in an upward trend, but for Martians fell down over two first launch months and after that went up, that can said its because of upward trend on NFT markets on this time.

:hourglass_flowing_sand: User NFT Interactions Before & After Reddit NFT

In the following visuals tried to find a correlation between Reddit NFT and Polygon NFTs in general over time.

For this sections, I used some metrics as below to investigate user activities after and before Reddit NFTs buying.
