Intro

A decentralized governance approach has been in place in the Algorand ecosystem since 2021. Owners of algorithms can vote on governance issues, serve as governors, and contribute their own algorithms. A quarter-long lock-in period for Algos means that their owners cannot use their own liquidity during that time. GALGO, a liquid asset, was created by Folks Finance for Algorand Governance participants who need liquidity to engage in the voting process. GALGO was created in equal measure to the value of Algo.

The aims of dashboard

• We'd like to find out who contributed their ALGOs to this liquid governance pool and so established gALGO3.
• How much gALGO3 was produced during the period of governance?
• Can we track how much of gALGO3 was made during the governance commitment period? –
• Show the total gALGO3 minted every day, even if the governance commitment period has ended. If - - gALGO3 was developed outside of the governance commitment period, is there evidence to support this?

Conclusion

Currently, the dashboard shows the following findings:

gALGO3 was generatedthroughout time (March 31st, 2022, 12:00:00 GMT and ended April 14th, 6:00:00 GMT). People Finance Liquid Staking was then in effect. 9.1 million gALGOs were created on April 12. A total of 13.3 million gALGO tokens were created during the initial liquid stage. The Folks Finance Liquid Staking period created around 1.2 million gALGO coins.

This table shows the wallet addresses of the users who contributed their ALGOs to this liquid governance pool and minted gALGO3 over the time period.
