NEAR Protocol:
NEAR Protocol is a decentralized blockchain platform that enables the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. It is designed to be developer-friendly and user-friendly, with a focus on scalability and ease of use. NEAR Protocol aims to make blockchain technology more accessible to developers and users by providing a simple and secure way to build and use dApps.
Entertainment/Web3/Gaming: Entertainment/Web3/Gaming refers to the use of blockchain technology in the entertainment and gaming industries. Web3 refers to the third generation of the internet, which is built on blockchain technology and decentralized applications. The use of blockchain technology in entertainment and gaming can provide benefits such as transparency, security, and ownership of digital assets. It enables new models for content distribution, monetization, and engagement between creators and consumers.
🛠️ Method
The purpose of this dashboard is to track the traffic on the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming platform built on the NEAR Protocol over the past 2 weeks. We selected this topic based on the high number of shared posts on @NEARProtocol, which claimed that this blockchain is the best space for Entertainment/Web3/Gaming.
To gather the data, we first found the gaming projects building on the NEAR ecosystem’s page and identified the ones with active users. We then categorized these projects by tx_receiver as Entertainment/Web3/Gaming, and classified other transaction receivers as NFT, DeFi, Staking, and Others.
We calculated the transaction count, active unique users, and new user count over the past 15 days to determine what percentage of these metrics were related to Entertainment/Web3/Gaming. This allowed us to assess how successful the NEAR Protocol has been in terms of user adoption for this specific topic.
✍🏻 Conclusion
Based on my analysis of the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming platform's traffic on NEAR protocol over the past two weeks, it's clear that NEAR is succeeding in user adoption in this field. Roughly 90% of daily transactions have been performed on entertainment/web3/gaming platforms, and the top two DApps, Sweat Wallet and NEAR Crowd, both focus on these areas.
What's particularly noteworthy about these DApps is the way they utilize NEAR's capabilities to offer new forms of utility and engagement for users. Sweat Wallet, for instance, offers staking for rewards and yield, gamification, and platform token benefits, while NEAR Crowd gives the community power over the requestor, which provides and funds jobs.
As the NEAR ecosystem continues to grow and expand, it's exciting to see the ways in which it's being leveraged to create innovative and engaging experiences for users in the entertainment, web3, and gaming spaces.

🔎 Findings:
In terms of user interactions, we found that the majority of users had interacted with the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming platforms, as evidenced by the high number of daily transactions on those receivers. This suggests that there is significant interest in this area among NEAR Protocol users, and that the platform is successfully attracting and retaining users in the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming space.
The graph on the left confirms the pattern we observed in the data, showing a clear and consistent growth in the transaction count over time for the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming platforms. This further supports the idea that there is significant interest in this area among NEAR Protocol users and suggests that this trend is likely to continue in the near future.
Also the following graphs show the cumultive new users growth on NEAR ecosystem over past 2 weeks. Entertianment is the pionear on this metric too.
⏳ How was the interactions on major transaction receivers?
To analyze the interactions on major transaction receivers, we looked at the daily transaction volume across all transaction receivers on the NEAR Protocol over the past 2 weeks. We found that the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming platforms accounted for approximately 90% of the daily transactions, making it the most active transaction receiver by far.
🔎 Findings:
In the past two weeks, the Sweat Wallet DApp has achieved an impressive cumulative transaction count of over 2.1 million, making it the fastest-growing DApp of all time on NEAR Protocol. SWEAT powers the Sweat Wallet App, which is a new Web3 portal for millions of users. The demand for SWEAT is driven by its utility, such as staking for rewards and yield, gamification, and platform token benefits, as well as buy and burn, which is funded by Sweat Foundation revenue.
The second fastest-growing DApp over the past two weeks is app.nearcrowd, with a cumulative transaction count of 1.31 million. This DApp enables users to earn N for completing small tasks. NEAR Crowd gives the community power over the Requestor, who provides and funds the jobs. While the Requestor specifies each task, the community decides if it is done correctly, and a smart contract on NEAR enforces rules, checks, and balances.
Furthermore, several new tweets from the @NEARProtocol account emphasize the importance of the Entertainment/Web3/Gaming field on NEAR Protocol. A visit to their Twitter account will demonstrate this trend.
