Introduction

In the Lil Nouns ecosystem, the main governing body is the Lil Nouns DAO, which uses Nouns DAO's fork of the Compound Governance protocol. The daily ETH revenues from Lil Noun auctions go entirely to the Lil Nouns DAO treasury. Each Lil Noun is a permanent member of the Lil Nouns DAO and has one vote in all governance decisions. If you sell your Lil Noun, your vote goes with it. However, you can delegate your Lil Noun vote to another person for as long as you own the Lil Noun.

Method

I used the ethereum.core.fact_event_logs table in this dashboard and filtered it by contract_address = 0x5d2c31ce16924c2a71d317e5bbfd5ce387854039', which is the Lil Nouns contract address, and event_name = 'VoteCast' to extract the voting transactions.

Additionally, by filtering of nft_from_address = '0x000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000' in the ethereum.core.ez_nft_transfers table I trued to find the number of tokens minted.

Analysis

• In the two above bar chart the daily number of tokens minted and cast voting’s are shown, also daily count of cast voting and count of casted votes over time are depicted.

Q1. Analyze the on-chain voting for NounsDAO. Which proposals have had the most engagement, relative to the number of tokens minted?

Findings

• On may 24th, most of daily tokens was minted by 83 number and on Jul 1th the most votes was casted by 844 votes per day, also on May 22th the highest number of voters was participated on cast voting.

• The momentum for minting tokens are so sharpen than count of casted votes over time.

• Total number of minted tokens are 2230 in contract of 512 casted votes to date. That indicates that less people are participates in voting for proposals.

• Top 3 Proposals base on count of voters are #2, #4 and #7 by 60, 37 and 36 voters to date, respectively.

• Top 3 Proposals base on count of casted votes are #22, #21 and #17 by 512, 489 and 389 casted votes to date, respectively.
