Symmetric vs Asymmetric LPs
Q99. On THORChain, you are allowed to add liquidity in 1 of 3 ways: Rune-only, asset-only, or symmetric (both Rune + asset). What is the breakdown of liquidity being added, according to those categories? Are there any trends over time or by pool?
Method
The time base for analysis is since the beginning of 2022, it has been subject to scrutiny.
The graphic that follows presents an illustration of the daily USD volume of liquidity growth in THORChain pools. In 3 mode: Rune-only, asset-only, or symmetric (both Rune + asset). and for this I ues thorchain.liquidity_actions
Findings
The difference between symmetric and asymmetric limited partnerships was investigated using this dashboard. As a result of this investigation, the amount of liquidity rise seen in certain pools, such as those using the Rune-only technique, has decreased.
-
BTC.BTC has most shares in added liquidity in all of 3 ways that followed by ETH.ETH in second position.
-
BNB.BUSD-BD1 In Run-only way is the third position after ETH.ETH that followed by ETH.USDC, TERRA.UST & TERRA.LUNA respectively.
-
In Asset-only way BNB.BUSD-BD1goes down and replaced with TERRA.UST that followed by TERRA.LUNA.
-
In symmetric (both Rune + asset) added liquidity added to BTC.BTC, TERRA.UST and ETH.ETH, top 3 pools with most liquidity added, respectively.
Finally in comparison between 3 ways: Rune-only, asset-only, or symmetric (both Rune + asset), 60.2% of liquidity being added in symmetric way that followed by Run-only and Asset-only by 21.2% And 18.7% of liquidity added respectively.
