Introduction

Osmosis is a Cosmos SDK-built AMM protocol that developers may design, implement, and deploy. AMM designers can customize curves, fees, and other elements, while liquidity providers can manage their pools. Cross-chain assets use Osmosis. Built-in IBC connects to Cosmos chains and native assets. Osmosis interacts with Ethereum-based blockchains, Bitcoin, and smart-contract platforms.

What are looking at in this dashboard?

• How does this compare to SushiSwap and Thorchain now?

• How does the wETH deposit rate compare to when wETH was a relatively new asset (or the protocol was relatively new)?

• Is Osmosis growing at a faster rate than Thorchain and Sushiswap?

Method

• To acquire the aims of current dashboard I used osmosis.core.fact_liquidity_provider_actions, ethereum.core.fact_token_transfers and lipside_prod_db.thorchain.liquidity_actions table to calculate deposited wETH to these protocols since 2022.

• The comparison of the count of transactions on three platforms since 2022 is shown in the above chart.

• The comparison of cumulative growth of number of transactions on three platform since 2022 are shown in the above chart.

• The deposit rate and the amount of wETH over time on Osmosis are shown in the above chart.

Findings

• The maximum amount deposited took place on May 25th, with more than 721 wETH.

• The start of a significant deposit amount was May 12th.

• The growth deposit rate has significantly increased since May 12th.

• The count of transactions for deposit wETH to OSMO is significantly higher than two others since May 15th.

• The deposit rate with OSMO is significantly higher than the other two since May 15th.

• The most deposited wETH belongs to Thorchain, followed by Sushi with 315.6k and 193.7k wETH, respectively. This amount for OSMO is 4k according to the cumulative growth deposited wETH amount.
