Daily Transactions and Unique Addresses
This analytics is done to measure the transaction activities on Polygon. Polygon is a “layer two” or “sidechain” scaling solution that runs alongside the Ethereum blockchain — allowing for speedy transactions and low fees.
Based on the average transaction and max transaction made by address on Polygon, it indicates there is an increase in activity. The highest max transaction recorded is at 74.088K txn by an account.
Now lets look 10 weeks back to measure the growth at larger scale.
We can see that the number of transacting address per week for the month of July, does not indicates significant growth, and shows lower value than most of the past weeks, in the 10 week range.
When looking at Weekly transaction made per week, we can see that the transaction in July barely competes with total transaction for the Past 10 week.
Overall, we can deduce that the growth on the large scale is in significant; plateued.
This analytics utilizes "‘ flipside_prod_db.polygon.transactions “ table. This analytics focus on the transaction activity on Polygon beginning July 1st 2022. This is done to measure growth of Polygon user base or activity for the month of July. The metrics considered are :
- Number of Unique address making transaction
- Number of Transaction made per day
- Average Transaction Per Day
- Then we are going to measure these metrics in the past 10 week scale to see whether if there is significant growth
From this analytics, it is found that there is a surge in activity on July 6th, particularly on number of address making transaction on Polygon, and average transaction made by these address. The number of transacting address increased by 800% and total transaction made increased by 18x. However, when compared against the past10 weeks record, the growth is not significant. We can conclude that Polygon has plateaued (based on 10 week scale) , despite the surge of transaction activity beginning July 6th .
