Daily Average TPM
Since Jan 2021, FLOW is the faster blockchain compared to Avalanche, reporting higher Daily average TPM. On Aug 2021, Avalanche reports higher Average TPM up to May 12th, 2022.
Around the same time, Arbitrum, a layer 2 blockchain was launched. A layer 2 is supposedly an infrastructure that is meant to resolve blockchain trilemma to scale its Layer 1. Arbitrum is built to scale Ethereum.
On May 12th, FLOW blockchain reports the highest Daily Average TPM of the 3 blockchains.
The highest reported TPM by FLOW is 1,617.713 average TPM on Nov 25th. Avalanche only reports 747.191 average TPM on Marc 2nd 2022, and Arbitrum reports 611.414 average TPM on Nov 9th 2022.

Daily Max TPM
The Daily Max TPM is important to visualizes the capacity of a blockchain to accommodate high volume transaction. Higher max TPM means it can support higher volume in a minute ie can process more transaction. This also can be used to measure the speed of a blockchain.
Based on the chart on the left, FLOW reports higher Max TPM per day more frequently than the other 2 blockchains. Flow also reports highest single Daily TPM at 7236 tpm on May 16th.
Arbitrum reports the highest Daily TPM on Sept 21st 2022 at 4164. Avalanche reports highest TPM on July 30th, 2021, at 3377 tpm.
Daily Min TPM
Daily Minimum TPM is important to visualizes the traffic of a blockchain during its less busy hours. A frequent high minimum daily TPM means the blockchain is much busier as it has to accommodate much higher transaction volume in a minute.
Initially, Flow Reports the highest minimum TPM up to Aug 28th 2021.
Since Aug 28th 2021, Avalanche reports highest minimum TPM up to May 18th 2022. It peaks at 493 TPM on April 13th, 2022.
But then, Flow reclaims higher minimum TPM. Avalanche daily minimum TPM was beaten by Arbitrum Sept 3rd, 2022.

User Growth
Flow reports higher User Grwoth in Total compared to Arbitrum and Avalanche. On May 10th, there is a sudden surge of new users , causing FLOW`s cumulative new user growth exceeds Avalanche`s user growth.
Currently, the total users on FLOW is 8.95 M unique address, almost triple than that of Avalanche`s.
Arbitrum reports the lowest User Growth.

- FLOW Blockchain reports the highest overall TPM and for the Past 14-Days
- User Growth of FLOW blockchain receives a sudden surge on May 10th, 2022.
- Currently, there are 8.95 M unique user address on Flow, about triple that of Avalanche’s and quadruple that of Arbitrums.
- Among the 3 compared blockchains, FLOW has more frequent report of low rate of successful transaction.
- The lowest reported FLOW transaction rate is 21.9%
- For the past 14 days, FLOW reports the highest transacting address per day; 81.5K address/day
- For the past 14 Days, FLOW reports the highest average transaction per day, 866 K txn/day
- The overall successful transaction for flow is reported at 87.5 %
Conclusion
Flow reports as the fastest blockchain of the three with 287 tpm AND 626 tpm for the past 14-days. Not only that, there are more daily transacting address on average on FLOW and higher daily average transaction rate. On top of that, it reports 87.5% successful txn rate overall, higher than Avalanche and Arbitrums. However, based on previous record, FLOW has more transaction failure rate than the other two chains.
Introduction
This analytics will study the speed of FLOW blockchain in comparison to 2 other blockchain; Avalanche and Arbitrum. Avalanche is chosen as it is marketed as the fastest EVM, and Arbitrum is chosen as it is a Layer 2, which is supposed to scale Ethereum`s transactions.
Moreover these blockchains are listed as the fastest blockchain.
The topics covered are :
i) Comparison of TPM by Blockchain
ii) Comparison of Daily TPM across the 3 blockchain
iii) User Growth Transaction Success Rate
iv) Transaction Data , Past 14 Days
