How Many Days Before User Votes

The below chart visualizes the number of days it takes ( x-axis) for user to vote for the first time since being active. We can see that Most of these address voted right away after their wallet become active, that is shows on Day 0. as much as 22.7 K address voted on the same day the become active. The chart indicates that most address did not take more than 50 days to vote after joining Osmosis. This means, user are interested in voting, in general.

Mean and Standard Deviation

The chart below shows the statistical analysis of the days taken before voting by users. It is sampled by the date range, and the number of address that falls within the range are input in the Table.

Mean as the average

From the calculation , it is found the mean is 17139 number of address. So when counting from the table, we know that the 1719th address on the number line falls within 0 to 10 days. Therefore the average days taken for users to vote are between 0 to 10 days.

Minimum Standard Deviation

The minimum deviation from the mean is said to be the score that fits the most to the mean value. In the table, 50 to 60 days yields the least deviation indicating it is the closest to the "Average Balue". However this data may be flawed because it doesnt account data after 100 days properly.

This study determines an address to be active after making the first swap on Osmosis. The justification is swap is the most common activity on almost any crypto ecosystem. The fore the first date where an address make swap txn, is taken as Day 1 for the address

The below chart shows the number of address that voted on each Proposal. Since the proposal is in chronological order, we can deduce that the growth of voting participation increase over time

Conclusion

It is found most address participate in voting right away after becoming active. The average days before user paricipate in voting (according to mean value) is 0 to 10 days. Overall the voting participation increases over time. This may due to airdrop reward that requires an address to participate in voting.
