Solend (here) is an algorithmic protocol for lending and borrowing on Solana.

From August 17 Solend announced their permissionless pools where any can create a pool.

In this bounty i will present an analysis on permissionless pools with the data available so far.

Note: When i compare daily metrics i used a 2 month window as a comparison.

1. How has this affected user behavior.

In order to define user behavior i used the metrics below.

On the TVL graph we don’t see any pattern change, the entire August seems to be having the same volume every day.

When we see the number of wallets supplying and borrowing by pool type we see that in the last 8 days there isn’t any significant change only some volatility that is observed in the last 2 months and is probably random.

There are 44 users on these Pools in less than 10 days.

2. % of TVL contributed from isolated and permissionless pools, against the main pool over time.

We see that permissionless pools have less than 1% of total TVL.

The Main Pool captures 7.2% of the total TVL.

In August there is a stabilization in daily TVL.

3. Amount/% of TVL that comes from Realm addresses instead of normal signers.

• From the graphs above we see that 84.5% of total TVL is by Users on Isolated pools.
• In the second place with ~8% is Isolated Pool by Realm/DAO Users.
• In the third place with 7% is the Main Pool by Users.

4. Conclusion.

• The Solend Protocol is a generally healthy project with big traction.
• As for the Permissionless Pools is very early with minimal data to make any decision but it started pretty good.
• Regular users dominate the supply pools with over 91% of total TVL in the last 2 months.
