Do a deep dive into another project on NEAR and analyze its impact, defining metrics for “impact” and displaying them with data. What contributions is your chosen project making to NEAR? You don’t need to choose one of the biggest or most impactful projects - and your research can include qualitative assessment as well. Date Created: 6/10/2022

    INTRODUCTION

DEIP was incubated by Collective Intelligence Labs: a decentralized R&D incubator focused on the adoption of Web3 technologies and building infrastructure for a global collective intelligence system.

Data Sources: Data were taken from Flipside’s ==NEAR.core== tables

Above we see the total number of Users is 4320 with total transactions at 39.5k. When we see the weekly number of Users we see that the project got traction in approximately 4 weeks where it grew from 0 to 5k active users and from then it has been growing with a declining rate. The weekly transactions follow a similar pattern.

If we look at the most basic NEAR metrics we see that DEIP impact on NEAR is basically 0, yet.

    User Actions.

Above we see the distribution of actions made on the user transactions. 27.9k or 10% are storage_deposit, 5.9k or 15% are ft_trnasfer_call, 5.8k or 14.6% are ft_transfer.

    CONCLUSION

    • Having as impact definition the number of users and their number of transactions which indicates how many times one interacts with the protocol we see 4.3k users with 39.5k transactions having an average 9 transactions per user.
    • Comparing the userbase or transactions to total NEAR users we see that DEIP has NO impact, yet.
    • Even though it is too soon to say being only 7 months old the project needs some new traction because now it seems to be heading into stagnation where it stops growing and at 4.3k users it’s pretty small.

    BUT:

    • It has only been seven months since they launched and we are in a bear market so high growth is way more difficult. At average 9 txns per User it is a relative good number compared to other products.

    Suggestion:

    • If the team keeps building the product and they reach more potential users with marketing at 9 Txns/User they can keep growing at least at a stable rate they can survive the bear market as longas it lasts and enter the bull market with a stable and strong userbase and a much better product to offer.
