Introduction

What is AXELAR?

AXELAR is a decentralized network that helps connect dApp creators with different blockchain ecosystems, applications, and users for cross-chain communication using the tools it provides. AXELAR includes a set of protocols, tools, and APIs designed to break down communication barriers. Backed by an open decentralized network of validation. Anyone can join the network, use it and build on it.

What is Osmosis?

Osmosis is a layer 1 blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK and uses Proof of Stake (PoS) technology. The chain allows developers to design and deploy customized AMMs using its various modules and the Osmosis chain management system. OSMO is Osmosis' native token that entitles its holders to vote on proposed network changes and receive rewards for helping to secure the network. The project was announced in October 2020 and launched on June 19, 2021.

Osmosis was the first Cosmos-based chain to launch IBC transfer. As the first AMM on Cosmos, this platform offered the ability to trade and earn rewards through liquidity provision.

Methodology

In this dashboard, I try to find the holders and buyers of the $AXL token on the two chains of Axelar and Osmosis using the data fromosmosis.coreand Axelar.core schemas, and then examine their behavior since the launch of this token. Tables fact_swaps, dim_prices, and fact_liquidity_provider_actions and fact_transfers have been used in this dashboard, and $AXL smart contract address

(ibc/903A61A498756EA560B85A85132D3AEE21B5DEDD41213725D22ABF276EA6945E) has been used to track the $AXL token on Osmosis.

In general, the following charts are analyzed and reviewed in this dashboard:

Analysis

> In this section, the main goal is to answer the question, since the launch, How Many $AXL Tokens Have Been Purchased? In addition to the answer to this question, other results such as the ==number of purchase transactions==, the ==number of buyers==, and the ==relationship between the price of the $AXL and the average volume purchased by each user== are also displayed.

Observations

• Since the launch of AXL Token, 12.3k unique users have purchased 9.22m AXL Tokens using 21.1k transactions.

• The highest number of users' activity to buy this token occurred in the first 3 days, so it can be said that after September 27, the 7-day moving average of the number of purchase transactions and the number of buyers has continuously been decreasing.

• In 4 time periods in November, the daily purchase volume was higher than the 7-day moving average: November 8, 9, 21, and 25.

• The highest amount of purchase by each user has been made at the price of $0.59, at this price, on average, each user has purchased 2,396 AXL tokens, and this price can be a good support for this token.

Observations

• 2,933 buyers of this token have bridged AXL and 1,707 people have traded their assets.
• The smallest share of activity is dedicated to the transfer of this token within the Osmosis chain.
• In terms of the volume of transactions, the largest share is related to the trading of this token, which accounts for 79.2%. After that, bridging ranks second with 17.2%, and the lowest share is related to liquidity providing.

Observations

The results are for the last 30 days.

• The average holding period of AXL by users was equal to 3.76 days.
• Most users have held AXL for less than 1 day, which includes 47.2% of all users.
• 30.1% of users have kept this token in their wallet between 1 day and 1 week and only 22.7% of them between 1 week and 1 month.
• In the graph on the left, the histogram of the average held period by users is shown. As you can see, 179 users have held this token in their wallets for less than a day.

> # What have AXL holders done with their token in Osmosis chain? > > In this part, the data of the Osmosis chain is investigated, and the purpose is to show the behavior of $AXL token buyers in the osmosis chain. > > 4 types of actions, including: transfer of the $AXL token within the Osmosis chain, swap, liquidity providing, and transfer of this token to another chain using a bridge, are examined.

Observations

• The graph on the right shows the activity of AXL owners based on the number of transactions and the number of users.

• Bridging and Swap have the largest share.

• In the graphs below, the daily results and the share of each activity are shown.

• In therm of Volume, the largest volume is related to the swap of this token, which accounts for 84.9%.

  The data before September 27, 2022, was too small and has been omitted.

> # Holders & Flow of AXL Token in Axelar Vs Osmosis > > In this section, using the data of the Axelar and Osmosis chains, we compare the holders and the inflow and outflow of the $AXL token in the Axelar and Osmosis chains. Also, the amount of $AXL token distribution between users in two chains is compared with each other.

Observations

• 3,850 unique wallets on the Axelar chain hold the $AXL token, of which 81.5%, i.e. 3,237 wallets, hold less than 1 $AXL token.
• On the other hand, on the Osmosis chain, the number of holders is equal to 2465, which compared to Axelar, only 39% of the wallets hold less than one Axelar.

Observations

• As mentioned in the previous sections, the data before September 27 was negligible.
• The largest volume of AXL token inflow to the Axelar chain occurred on September 28, and the largest inflow to the Osmosis chain was on November 2, 2022.
• In general, it can be said that until October 18, the entry to the Osmosis chain was very small. But little by little, the volume of input to this chain has grown significantly.
• The highest output from the Osmosis and Axelar chains is related to September 28, as a result, the Netflow to the Axelar chain on September 28 was positive and negative for the Osmosis chain.

Conclusion

• Since the launch of AXL Token, 12.3k unique users have purchased 9.22m AXL Tokens using 21.1k transactions.
• The price of $AXL token at the time this dashboard is being written is about $0.53 and considering the above results, the high volume that each user has bought at the average price of $0.59, it seems that it can be a positive point for The upward trend of this token.
• $AXL token buyers are most willing to trade this token and less than 2% of buyers are willing to hold this token.
• Also, most users hold this token for less than 1 day.
• In the Osmosis chain, most of the users bridge this token outside of this chain or swap it.
• The number of $AXL holders on the Axelar chain is about 56% more compared to Osmosis.
• In both chains, most of the holders keep less than 1 $AXL, but the share of this group in the Axelar chain is much higher than that of Osmosis.
