Methodology

• This analysis attempts to determine the total and daily number of application calls in the first six months of 2022 in comparison to the last six months of 2021.
• We also compare the total and daily number of wallets performing application calls in the first half of 2022 to the latter half of 2021.

Analysis I: How have the number of application calls changed in the first 6 months of 2022 compared to the last 6 months of 2021?

The pie chart compares the total number of application calls received in the first six months of 2022 and 2021. It is evident that the total number of application calls in the first six months of 2022 is much more than that of the last six months of 2021. We found that the overall number of application calls in the first six months of 2022 is about 71.4 percent, whereas the total number of application calls in the final six months of 2021 is approximately 28.6 percent.

The bar chart depicts the daily number of application calls in the first six months of 2022 compared to the last six months of 2021. We can observe that the overall number of application calls in the last six months of 2021 has high activity during the final two months, whereas the daily number of application calls in the first six months of 2022 has high activity throughout the whole time.

The bar graph shows the total number of wallets performing application calls throughout the first six months of 2022 and 2021. Clearly, the total number of wallets in the first six months of 2022 is much more than that in the last six months of 2021. We discovered that the total number of wallets in the first half of 2022 is roughly 74.9 percent, while the total number of application calls in the latter half of 2021 is approximately 25.1 percent.

Conclusion

We discovered that the number of application calls and the number of wallets making application calls in the first 6 months of 2022 are much greater than in the final six months of 2021, indicating that there is increased application use on Algorand in the first half of 2022 compared to the 2nd half of 2021.
