This investigation seeks to examine significant fluctuations in the quantity of DAI on the market throughout the last year. Then, we attempt to determine what may have led to these changes.

The daily quantity of DAI remained largely steady between May 16, 2021 and January 15, 2022, as seen by the figure above. On January 16, 2022, the chart reveals a surprisingly large increase. After then, the daily quantity of DAI became pretty consistent once again.

As seen in the above chart, the daily change in DAI amount on the market has been typically positive throughout the last year. On May 12, 2022, almost 777.56 million more DAI were repaid than were created, which we find to be rather interesting. Users may have repaid their DAI in reaction to a change in the interest rate, or maybe in response to a change in the price of DAI.

According to the chart, the price of DAI has ranged between $1 and $1.004 throughout the last year. Whenever the price of DAI is more than $1,000, the daily change in DAI quantity on the market is strongly negative. Therefore, the price of DAI seems to have had a significant impact on the market's fluctuating supply of DAI.
