When Do Transactions Fail?

Q2. Do times of high transaction volume lead to more transaction failures? Create a visualization that shows the relationship between transaction volume and success rate of transactions since May 9th. Are there any noticeable patterns to when transactions are more likely to fail? Were there specific events that seem to cause transaction failures?

    Objective for this dashboard

This investigation seeks to analyze the relationship between transaction volume and transaction success rate on the Flow network since May 9th, 2022. In addition, we will identify distinct patterns and events that seem to trigger transaction failures.

    Analysis I

This section will provide the daily and cumulative number of successful and unsuccessful Flow network transactions since May 9, 2022.

    Analysis II

This part will explore the relationship between transaction volume and transaction success rate on the Flow network since May 9th, 2022.

As seen in the two graphs above, the daily number of transactions has steadily increased during the period of time examined. In addition, we noticed that from may 25, 2022, it is apparent that even with a significant number of transactions on the rise, the failure rate remains high, and frequently the number of unsuccessful transactions exceeds that of failed ones. Since the platform's transaction volume will certainly increase in the near future, we think that Flow is examining this problem.

The bar and line graphs illustrate the relationship between transaction volume and transaction success rate on the Flow network from May 9, 2022. Since May 25, 2022, this visualization has shown the failed transaction issue that the Flow's transaction volume has been steadily growing while the success rate of transactions has decreased substantially. Consequently, our analyses indicate that the Flow network is experiencing a problem with failed transactions, and we recommend that the Flow team address this issue as soon as possible.
