Terra: ETH shuttle
This dashboard looks at data pertaining to the ETH shuttle, i.e. the movement of UST and LUNA between the Terra and the ethereum networks.
Introduction
This dashboard looks at the volume transfer of UST and LUNA moving between the Terra and Ethereum blockchains using the bridge.
Transfers were identified by looking for ETH shuttle
in the event_to/from_address_name
fields in the terra.transfers
table. Additional constraints include holding event_currency
to LUNA and UST.
Daily Volume
In graph 1, we can see the breakdown of inflow/outflow total LUNA/UST volume to and from the Terra blockchain. Some things to notice about the data:
-
May 21st, 2021 had an outflow of 29M USD, the same day as 1tr USD was wiped out.
-
Inflow seems to be relatively steady with an average of ~ 10M or more being deposited weekly.
Users
From the graph below, we can see that the number of distinct addresses that are making transfers has, on average, increased steadily excluding July 9th, 2021 which saw the lowest amount of wallets interacting. Notice that there are just over 50% of daily users that are moving money over to Terra vs moving money to the ethereum blockchain.
- Using graphs 2 and 3, notice that a large amount of UST outflow also shows a large number of users interacting. This shows that whales (large investors) are not dominating these statistics.
Clarifications
Recipients: Users who are getting money on the Terra network Senders: Users who are removing money from Terra to the ethereum network
