Mars Protocol Free Play

Using Mars EZ tables, which was recently released by Flipside, a dashboard has been created that analyzes the status of the MARS token from many aspects.

    What is DeFi?

Decentralized finance (DeFi) is an emerging model for organizing and enabling cryptocurrency-based transactions, exchanges and financial services. DeFi's core premise is that there is no centralized authority to dictate or control operations.[1]

    What is Mars Protocol?

Mars is a credit protocol for the future: non-custodial, open-source, transparent, algorithmic and community-governed.

Like banks, Mars aims to attract deposits and lend out this money while managing illiquidity and insolvency risk. Unlike banks, Mars is a fully automated, on-chain credit facility governed by a decentralised community via a transparent governance process. All decisions are made by the Martian Council, composed of MARS stakers who put skin in the game to backstop certain kinds of protocol risk in exchange for a portion of the protocol borrowing fees.[2]

    📖 Introduction

Using Mars EZ tables, which was recently released by Flipside, a dashboard has been created that analyzes the status of the MARS token from many aspects. At first, MARS swap tokens have been examined. In this part, the trends in the volume and number of swaps, as well as the number of traders, are first examined. Then, in the next part, with a deeper analysis, the following metrics were examined:

1️⃣ Net Swap Volume (MARS purchase volume - MARS sale volume)

2️⃣ Volume/Number of MARS Swaps with other Tokens

3️⃣ Top 10 Traders that Collected Most Volume of MARS

4️⃣ Distribution of Days of Activity of MARS Traders

5️⃣ Classification of Traders Based on Swap Volume/Count

6️⃣ Top 10 MARS Traders With the Most Swap Count/Volume

But in the second part, we analyzed MARS liquidity in pools. Here too, similar to the previous part, the trends in the charts are evaluated at first. Then we took a deeper look at Liquidity Provider Addresses (MARS). The metrics analyzed in this section are:

1️⃣ Top 10 Liquidity Providers Based on TXs Count/Liquidity Volume

2️⃣ Classification of Liquidity Providers Based on TXs Count/Liquidity Volume

3️⃣ Distribution of Liquidity Providers Based on the Number of Days of Activity

In this dashboard, Mars EZ tables are used for data extraction. These tables are:

1️⃣ osmosis.mars.ez_liquidity_provider_actions -> This table is used to analyze liquidity providers.

2️⃣ osmosis.mars.ez_swaps -> This table was used to evaluate the state of the MARS swap token.

3️⃣ osmosis.mars.ez_token_day -> The price of MARS in terms of USD and OSMO was extracted from this table.

🔔 The data in the Mars EZ tables are from February 3, 2023 onwards.
