    Question

Create a series of dashboards comparing wallet behavior for buying and selling NFTs on Flow compared to Ethereum and Solana.

    • Is there more or less "whale" activity on Flow compared to each of the other chains?
    • What do "whales" tend to focus on in Flow?
    • How common is "flipping" on Flow (selling within 24 hrs, within a week etc) compared to other chains, or do wallets tend to hold onto their NFTs?
    • Are wallets more interested in new projects, or already existing projects on Flow?

    Methodology

    • In this dashboard, the following tables are used to extract data:
      • flow.core.fact_nft_sales
      • ethereum.core.ez_nft_sales
      • solana.core.fact_nft_sales
    • In this dashboard, the activity of wallets that deal mostly with NFT transactions is analyzed.

    Data Analysis

The chart below shows the most popular NFT collections on different blockchains. The most popular collections on each of these chains are:

    • FLOW → TopShot → FLOW network users have bought and sold NFTs of this collection about 53.24k times.
      • PackNFT and AllDay collections are ranked second and third.
    • Ethereum → Opensea → The number of transaction times of this collection is more than the most popular collection on the Flow chain (469k).
    • Solana → Decets → 1,186 times.

But the review of the whales who are buyers of NFTs from different collections shows that the whale of the Flow network had about 12k purchases. This number is more than the number of purchases of the top whale Solana. But at the same time the top NFT buyer address on the Ethereum blockchain has already bought 16.6k of different NFTs.

The charts below show how long users sell their NFTs after. According to this graph, users of the Flow network are more inclined to sell their NFTs within a time interval of more than a day after purchase and less than a week after purchase, while most users of the Ethereum and Solana networks are less than One day they decide to sell their NFTs.

In the last step, we considered the collections that were launched less than a month ago as new projects, and we considered the projects that were launched more than a month ago as existing projects. In this way, we checked that in the last month, more users went to purchase new projects or considered existing projects more. The results show that Flow network users have more trust in existing and older collections and trade them more.
