    ⚫ What Is NEAR Protocol?

Near Protocol is a decentralized blockchain platform designed to provide high scalability and low latency for building decentralized applications (dApps) and services. It was launched in 2018 by a team of experienced blockchain developers and entrepreneurs. Near Protocol aims to solve some of the scalability and usability issues faced by existing blockchain platforms like Bitcoin and Ethereum. It uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of Stake, which allows for faster transaction processing and lower transaction fees. The platform also features sharding, which enables it to process transactions in parallel across multiple shards, increasing its overall capacity. Near Protocol uses a programming language called Rust, which is known for its speed and reliability, and supports smart contracts that can be written in Rust or other popular programming languages like AssemblyScript. Overall, Near Protocol aims to provide a more user-friendly and scalable blockchain platform for developers to build their decentralized applications and services.
