    INTRODUCTION
    METHODOLOGY

NEAR is a user-friendly and carbon-neutral blockchain, built from the ground up to be performant, secure, and infinitely scalable.

In technical terms, NEAR is a layer one, sharded, proof-of-stake blockchain built with usability in mind.

In simple terms, NEAR is blockchain for everyone. For more info visit the NEAR docs

NEAR Foundation has launched NEAR Horizon, an accelerator program aimed at assisting Web3 ecosystem founders.

This program is intended to help start-up teams scale their projects with help from a wide range of service providers, mentors, and backers.

NEAR Horizon was made possible through collaborations with key blockchain industry players such as Dragonfly, Pantera, Fabric Ventures, Decasonic, and Hashed.

These collaborations are expected to accelerate the development of great products with a real-world value in the NEAR ecosystem.

The unique approach on how the data for this analysis was derived

    • Identifying the projects native to the NEAR blockchain through near.core.fact_actions_events_function_call table and then the names of the projects were identified using near.core.dim_address_labels table

    • Active Projects were derived by selecting projects that had at least fifteen (15) transactions in the past three (3) months
