Highest Sales Volume | NFTx

Q1. Which 3 NFT collections have the most total sales volume in the last 60 days on NFTX? These are transactions where someone redeems their NFTX tokens for a specific NFT.

    Introduction

    What is NFTX?

NFTx is a platform for making ERC20 tokens that are backed by NFT collectibles. These tokens are called vault tokens, and (like all ERC20s) they are fungible and composable. With NFTx, it is possible to create and trade tokens based on your favourite collectibles such as CryptoPunks, CryptoKitties, and Avastars, right from an exchange. NFTx's mission is to become the primary issuer of NFT vault tokens, allowing anyone to trade & invest in NFT markets without needing the underlying knowledge and expertise required when investing in individual assets. By doing so, NFTx will function as a black hole for NFT assets. [source]

Top Collections on NFTx in the last 60 days

Let's look at some metrics that will give us an understanding of which are the top 3 collections on NFTx in the past 60 days.

    Slice of the pie

Let's look at the top 10 collections first and see what % of the overall pie do they own.

From this, we can see that Milady, GoblinTown and Tubby Cats seem to be holding the majority of the share in terms of transactions. Although Tubby Cats is very close with Shinsei Galverse.

NOTE: the null represents no mapped collection name. When this is removed it's a bit clearer to see the market share of the different collections. They should not be ignored, but in this current report, I did not dig into each one to map them.

    By transaction Count

In this view, we can see how far ahead Milady is from GoblinTown and how far GoblinTown is from the Tubby Cats and Shinsei Galverse. Note that Shinsei Galverse is only 4 transactions behind Tubby Cats.

Here we can see that Milady has a very high correlation with platform fees and transaction fees which indicates high demand, this is clear as we see that other collections have much fewer transaction fees than platform fees, which indicates lower demand for that specific collection. Similarly, we can see that collections such as Friendsies have had very low platform fees collected (probably also due to the price per item), but quite a lot higher transaction fees, which also indicates multiple transactions for the collection but if we were to look at the top 3 we would have not spotted that in terms of only looking at the transaction count. Other usual suspects here are the Tubby Cats with quite high transaction fees per purchased item compared to the platform fee.

    Platform fees and Transaction Fees

In this (weird) metric, I am trying to capture, more creatively, how "full" of transaction fees per collected platform fee per collection has been gathered. This gives us a proxy of demand as well as how big a collection is (to a certain extent).

What we can see here, is that other than the top 3-4 projects identified a big amount of $ in the last 60 days has also been captured by the giants: doodles, Bored Ape Yaucht Club and Mutant Ape Yaucht club. Also by this metric, the top 3-4 in terms of cumulative amount ($) captured are: Milady, doodles, Bored Ape Yaucht Club and Mutant Ape Yaucht club.

Total amount $ per transaction, per collection

Total amount $ paid per transaction per collection grouped by the amount per transaction

In the above graph, what we can see is that the top 3-4 projects by the amount per transaction are Bored Ape Yaucht Club Nouns and Mutant Ape Yaucht club. These should also correspond to the biggest amount in Platform fees captured per sale, but before we make that conclusion let's explore further.
