Introduction

In this analysis, we are going to look at the polygon daily transactions and its unique addresses since the beginning of 2022.

Method

At First we count the number of unique transactions hash and their corresponding unique maker wallets. Then we draw the daily chart.

At the second, we look from the larger point of view and see the daily changes in 2022, to analyze the Polygon growth based on these two metrics (the number of transactions & number of unique addresses).

We use the flipside Polygon databases, the polygon.transactions and polygon.core.fact_transactions .

Step One.

The first goal is to Count and plot the number of daily transactions and unique addresses on Polygon, beginning July 1, 2022.

we also count the total number of transactions and unique wallets in these timeline.

In the above results, we can see that the number of transactions is always more than 2M and on 9th & 10th July its reaches to its floor on 2.1M transactions. On the other hands, the number of unique wallets also reaches to its floor 194K on 9th July.

But both number start to increase since 9th July until now.

There are 28M transaction has done by the 2.4K unique wallets, since 1st July 2022.

Step Two.

The second goal is to see, estimate and discuss whether Polygon is still growing, has reached a plateau, etc.

Lets look from the larger point of view and see the daily changes in 2022, to analyze the Polygon growth based on these two metrics (the number of transactions & number of unique addresses).

the new polygon table is limited to the July 2022, so we need to refer to the former flipside.probe polygon tables to see the older entries.

From the above figure , we can see that after 9th -13th May 2022, corresponding to the Terra/Luna collapse, the transaction number on the polygon start a long term descending trend. although from 11th to 14th June it has an positive trend but it could not catch its former peak.

On the other hands in the middle of July the number of unique wallets has increased with an spike on 27th June, then refer to the part one charts, in July it is almost steady on a plateau style.

And also the number of transactions recently varies around its estimated mean (2.4M), so we can conclude that it might have a same steady trend these days.

Summary & Conclusion

Here, we looked at the number of transactions has done by the number of unique wallets on polygon. we do these review since the 1st July 2022.

we studied their daily trend & variations.

And finally we review the polygon growing trend based on our analytics, in which we can estimated that it is in the steady (range) style trend.
