Opensea Fees
The Question
Find the wallet that collects Opensea fees. Make a dashboard showing how much Opensea has earned through Polygon transactions.
Approach
The whole thing is like this
First , the Seller posts his NFT on the opensea.io , then a buyer makes a bid in a token (WETH or DAI). then, the opensea.io initiates a sale if the buyer agrees with the list price of the NFT or, if the lister decides to lower the pice and accept the bid of buyer
The address which collects the fees ( 2.5% of sale amount) is ‘‘0x5b3256965e7c3cf26e11fcaf296dfc8807c01073
‘‘
The address which handles the fees is ‘‘0xf715beb51ec8f63317d66f491e37e7bb048fcc2d
‘‘
Note : The date is available since June 2022
Note : I have done this project based on wETH and DAI and excluded USDC , due to very low transactions and amount compared to other two tokens

-
the contract <0x9b814233894cd227f561b78cc65891aa55c62ad2>, transfers the payment from the buyer to the seller.
-
Then 10 percent of the payment to the seller is transferred to the fee_handler contract <0xf715beb51ec8f63317d66f491e37e7bb048fcc2d> which distributes the fee appropriately.
-
Usually 2.5 percent of the payment is tranfered to opensea's own fee collecting wallet <0x5b3256965e7c3cf26e11fcaf296dfc8807c01073> and 7.5% is sent to the artist of the NFT
Findings
- total fee generated since June 2022 is ~59K usd which more than 95.5% of this amount was in wETH and the rest was in DAI and as I said before, a very low amount also was in USDC
- The Nft Collections ZED HORSE and UNICORNS are responsible for most of the fees created in wETH , 2.2 and 2.19 respectively
