In this dashboard, we are looking for an answer to this question:

If NEAR were a city, who would the citizens be?

To answer this question, we first define an active user in the Near network as follows:

    > An active user is a wallet who has started at least one transaction in the Near network every thirty days (as a transaction signer).

With this definition, we will analyze the active users that we call NEAR citizens in the last three months.

    Daily/Weekly Active Users

Using the above definition and taking into account the interval between two consecutive transactions of a user that should not be more than one month, we obtain active users in the last three months (users who, with this condition, must have at least three transactions ). The daily and weekly chart of NEAR active users is as follows:

    \n

    Key Findings

    • The daily average of active users is around 10K people, and this number has been decreasing in recent days. In April, this daily average was around 12K.
    • Despite the collapse of the cryptocurrency market in the last two months, there is no significant decrease in the number of NEAR daily active users.

User Groups in Terms of Number of Transactions in Last 3 Months

Let's take a closer look at these citizens and see how the users are distributed based on the number of transactions. We have used the following three groups for this purpose : 3-10,11-100 and 100+, and in addition to the distribution chart of each group, we have also checked out the changes of these three groups in the three-month period:

    • As we expected, more than half of the users had a limited number of transactions in the last three months (between 3 and 10) and the number of users with moderate activity, i.e. between 10 and 100 transactions in the last three months, is slightly higher than 30%.

    • This distribution has not changed much during the last three months, but it seems that the number of average and regular users has decreased a little.

But for users with more than 100 transactions, we have to take a closer look. If you look at the table in front of you, which shows fifty active users, you will notice that with the definition of active users, we have considered programs that perform a large number of transactions daily as part of these users. Therefore, we must delete these programs somehow. We assume that each normal user will make ten transactions at most every day, which will be about 1000 transactions in three months. therefore, we delete users who have more than 1000 transactions.

The following diagram is the result of this change:

It seems that the citizens of NEAR:

    • On average, they have done about 8 transactions in the last three months.
    • Despite the market collapse, they have been loyal to this blockchain.
    • Their activity has decreased slightly due to the continued bearishness of the market.
    • There are about 115 thousand people.
