Bridger Destinations
Introduction:
The Polygon platform, powered by the MATIC token, was launched to connect and grow Ethereum-compatible projects and blockchains.
A blockchain bridge provides a connection that allows for the transfer of tokens or data between two different blockchain ecosystems
This dashboard will investigate into Ethereum to polygon bridging to find users tokens ==destinations== after bridge.
Methodology:
I used
- Flipside crypto database,
polygon.udm_events
table- Polygon docs
At first step lets see what tokens are bridged more than others?
We can answer this question by two aspects;
- Transactions number
- Transactions volume
As you see in this donut chart, Since June 6 (Flipside data), WETH (or in other words, Ethereum) is the most asset bridged from Ethereum to Polygon with about 67 percent of all bridge transactions.
ETH is followed by USDC with about 10 percent. Other tokens can be seen in chart as well.
On the other hand if we consider volume, we have different result.
Here USDC== has the first position with more than 40 percent of all bridge volume and ETH is in next position.
Also its interesting to know daily bridge transactions count, daily total amount bridged and daily unique bridger wallets in which all of them are shown below:
You may be curious about daily bridgeSawp volume too.
If yes this chart is yours:
Jun 13 has most daily transactions, most daily total amount bridged and most daily wallets used for bridging (What a predictable hat-tricks!)
now its time to answer the main question:
Bridge Destinations
Again here we can answer this question from two aspects:
- Transactions number
- Transactions volume
If we ignore no labels (which have no to_lable
s), we see that Aave is the first destination for tokens bridged from Ethereum to Polygon (since June 6) with about 6.4% off all bridge transactions.
Other destinations are seen as well.
Now lets check our destinations deeper in daily timeframe:
- If we ignore no labels , ==Aave== has the most transaction count and transaction volume in almost all days.
- Long timeframes and short timeframes make no significant differences in destinations order.
Now time for volume;
Based on bridging volume Aave is in first position again with about 12% of all bridging volume.
There are some changes in other orders too;
for example look at SushiSwaps position; based on transactions its 4th but based on volume its 7th.
