    WHAT IS REF FINANCE ?

    • Ref Finance was initially created by Illia Polosukhin, co-founder of NEAR Protocol. The first commit on Github was made on March 9, 2021. Following the deployment of the application in April 2021, Proximity Labs, a research and development company focused on NEAR, received a grant from the NEAR Foundation to bootstrap and scale Ref Finance.

    • Ref Finance is an Automated Market Maker (AMM) launched on the NEAR blockchain. As an Automated Market Maker, it is a DeFi marketplace for NEAR native tokens that leverages NEAR’s low fees, ultra-fast finality and web assembly-based runtime.

    • On Ref Finance, users can trade tokens using its AMM exchange and stake LP tokens into farms which provides liquidity to the system. Through the already initiated token swaps and pool-swapped tokens with NEAR-based projects, an active market is formed with active liquidity.
