State of State (redux)
Many bounties come from Terra clients. This time, Flipside is the client! Review the existing Terra Console for accuracy. Accuracy: Are there any data errors you can identify? Usefulness: Is there anything missing that would be critical for new users to Terra?
This Bounty comes in two parts. I will firstly review whether there are any inaccuracies or data errors present within the existing Terra Console (https://consoles.flipsidecrypto.com/terra/overview/index). Secondly, I will investigate what improvements can be made, and what can be added to the Console to make it more useful to the users.
There are a few things that I think could be added to the Console to improve its usefulness.
- Explanation of why UST loses its peg significantly sometimes.
The graph shown on the main website of the Console is clear and accurate, however, it lacks an explanation or a qualitative analysis. It would be useful for users to potentially understand why the peg can go as low as 0.994 for example. This is not a necessary feature, I just think that it would be useful for such information to be present on the main website.
- Addition of different Terra Protocols: So far, the only data analysed on the Console is concerned with Luna, Anchor, Mirror, and CHAI (https://consoles.flipsidecrypto.com/terra/operational-data/applications). It would be useful to include newly launched protocols that have a lot of potential and some users possibly have not heard about them or don't know much about them. Having some data analysis of protocols such as MARS, PRISM, ASTROPORT or LOOP would be useful and could result in increasing the exposure to those protocols.
Just as there is a graph for the history of Anchor, it would be nice to see similar graphs for different assets such as the history of how ASTRO grew over time.
- The last improvement would be to add inflow and outflow data graphs and analysis for different bridges and the wormhole (this addition would be concerned for this part of the Console: https://consoles.flipsidecrypto.com/terra/operational-data/stakeholders).
In conclusion, the current Console seems to be accurate and almost-complete. The suggestions that I have stated above would result in more informative and useful dashboards. I wish I could provide you with more data inaccuracies and errors, but it seems almost impossible to do with such an accurate client as Flipside!
I have looked through several Flipside submissions and compared them to the data provided on the console, and as far as I am aware I cannot find any visible to me errors or inaccuracies. It would probably be necessary to re-plot the graphs shown on the Console, however, this is a short Bounty and doing so would be very time inefficient, hence my analysis was conducted by eye and reason rather than by using new data queries.
