Galactic Punk Core Rarity Metrics

Frequency Distribution of Galactic Punk Backgrounds, Suits, and Species.

    1. Introduction

Galactic Punks (GPs) are NFTs on the Terra blockchain generated randomly and limited to 10,921. Every punk is made up of a set of uniquely combined characteristics called attributes. Since punks are collectable like regular digital art, they ought to be valued, and that's where attributes come in. The rarer the attributes of punk, the more valuable it is and vice-versa.

Every punk is made up of at least six (6) attributes, but there are 3 main attributes that are general to every GP, which are Background, Suit, and Species. I call these core attributes. This dashboard shows the rarity levels of the 3 core attributes, based on which NFT collectors could use to collect GPs that align with their portfolio.

    2. Background

This chart here shows how frequent different background attributes appear in GPs. You can see that the rarest background is space station, while the least rare is green planet day.

    3. Suit

Similarly, this chart also shows the frequency of different suit types in Galactic Punk attributes. galactic assasin is the most rare with a score of 45, while og yellow is the most common type of suit with a score of 579.

    4. Species

The third chart on species shows which types are more common, and those that are rare. terrarian royalty 1 is the rarest species while lunatic 6 is the most common.

    5. Conclusion

The above metrics are basic guidelines NFT collectors and traders could use to appropriately price and sell Galactic Punks. For example, a GP of terrarian royalty species, with a boba suit on a space station background will be worth more than a regular lunatic 6 in a navy suit on a green planet day.
