    In this dashboard we will compare 3 different NFT market places on different blockchains (OpenSea n Ethereum, Magic Eden on Solana and Quix on Optimism) in terms of their sales volume, sales number and buyers to evaluate their performances. We will also evaluate the change rate of those metrics to find if there is any signs of growth.

    • Since July, In terms of sales transactions, Magic Eden is rank 1 but OpenSea had highest sales volume and buyers.

    • More than 75% of buyers on Quix have bought less than 3 NFTs.'

    Since May 2022, Magic Eden competes with OpenSea in terms of buyers and sales.

    • From April to August, Quix Marketplace had the highest growth rate.
    • Sales number and Buyer number on Quix had the highest growth rate.

    Summary

    • Quix had the highest growth rate in 2022, but it has a very long way to reach Magic Eden or OpenSea in terms of total sales, buyers and sales volume.
    • Average purchase number per NFT collections on OpenSea is 60% higher than Quix’s.

    Methodology

    • The NFT sales data of Opensea were extracted from ethereum.core.ez_nft_sales table.

    • The NFT sales data of Quix were extracted from optimism.core.ez_nft_sales table.

    • The NFT sales data of Magic Eden were extracted solana.core.fact_nft_sales table.

    • The price of Solana was extracted from ethereum.core.fact_hourly_token_prices table. (daily average)

    • Because of lacking price info of SOL, the first 20 days of 2022 was not in the volume sales calculation for Magic Eden.

    • The number of NFT bought per user was categorized into 9 categories:

      1. Less than 3
      2. Between 3-10
      3. Between 11-20
      4. Between 21-50
      5. Between 51-100
      6. Between 101-300
      7. Between 301-500
      8. Between 501-1000
      9. More than 1000
