In this dashboard, I will answer this question from Flipside Crypto:

• Q1. How many total Metamask wallet holders are there?
  • What’s the average value of ETH held in wallets?
  • What percentage of wallets are engaging in a higher order activity, like staking?

Introduction

What is MetaMask?

• MetaMask is a browser plugin that serves as an Ethereum wallet, and is installed like any other browser plugin. Once it's installed, it allows users to store Ether and other ERC-20 tokens, enabling them to transact with any Ethereum address. By connecting to MetaMask to Ethereum-based dapps, users can spend their coins in games, stake tokens in gambling applications, and trade them on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). It also provides users with an entry point into the emerging world of decentralized finance, or DeFi, providing a way to access DeFi apps such as Compound and PoolTogether.

Method

->

• > To answer this question and get this data, I used the table ethereum.core.ez_dex_swaps to get the number of Metamsk users
• > I saw a transaction and set the metamask Swap Router address for ORIGIN_TO_ADDRESS
• > I put the list of addresses in CTE and got the latest balance ETH of these addresses from the flipside_prod_db.ethereum.erc20_balances table.
• > I used the AVG function to capture the average ETH held by users
• > To categorize user activities, I joined the list I had already prepared with the table ethereum.core.fact_event_logs
• >I counted the number of transactions and categorized them into EVENT NAME groups

Chart & Analyze;

• Metamask has more than 1 million users to date .
• The growth of users has started from February 22, 2021 and has been ascending until May 8, 2021
• Most users were identified on December 25, 2021. On this day 12.88K users have used metamask Swap Router.

• The average eth held by users is 0.77 eth, while 0.721 million eth is held by all users.

• The chart above shows the 20 most popular activities among Metamask users
• Among the most active users are Transfer, Approval and Swap.

• As mentioned above, a large percentage of user transactions are related to Transfer, Approval and Swap Is

Conclusions

1. The total number of Metamask users to date has reached more than 1 million users.
2. The average eth held by users is 0.77ETH
3. Out of 1 million Metamask users, only 10,757 users engage in high-level activities such as stacking. This number is equal to 1.07% of the total users.
