    Methodology

    1. In this dashboard, we will be focussing on the number of daily transactions and number of unique addresses that have executed transactions on Polygon since 1 July
    2. We will also plot the daily success vs failed transactions on Polygon network
    3. We will be using the data from polygon.core.fact_transactions table
    4. We use count(*), count(distinct from_address) and group by date function to obtain the demanded results

The bar chart above shows the number of daily transactions on Polygon since 1 July. In general, the fluctuation in terms of transaction count is relatively low with steady trend. The daily number of transactions only ranges from 2M to 3M per day with the maximum number of transactions occuring on 5 July which amounted to about 2.83M.

With regards to failed transactions, the daily number of failed transactions is showing a steady trend since 1 July with low fluctuation over time. The failing rate is computed to be roughly 5% every day.

The bar chart above depicts the daily number of unique addresses who have executed transactions on Polygon since 1 July. The maximum number of distinct addresses can be captured on 11 July which amounted to about 242k addresses. On the contrary, the least amount of unique addresses can be seen on 2 July.

    Conclusion

Polygon is a decentralised Ethereum scaling platform that enables developers to build scalable user-friendly dApps with low transaction fees without ever sacrificing on security. Besides that, Polygon network is still in a developing state with steady growth in terms of number of unique addresses and number of transactions executed daily. However, the results obtained might not be obvious enough to reflect the growth rate of Polygon network and the reason behind this is the impact induced by the ‘bearish’ crypto market lately. Furthermore, the transaction performance on Polygon is decent as well with low failing rate.
