What is the NDC?

The Near Digital Collective (NDC) is a movement towards a truly decentralized blockchain on the NEAR Protocol. This marks the largest attempt at decentralization in web3 history as the initiative places NEAR’s community at the heart of the decision-making process in order to shape the future of the chain.

The Importance of election technology

Over the past year, a dedicated core community of NEAR enthusiasts have established a V1 Governance model that will serve as the core framework for how the NDC will operate, and how the Community Treasury funds will be deployed. This will also serve as the core infrastructure for how on-chain elections for voting will be conducted.

As you can imagine, in order to successfully deliver decentralized governance at scale, the NDC has curated a host of exciting new products to ensure transparency while enabling a truly efficient, on-chain voting system that cannot be manipulated.
