    What Is NEAR Protocol?

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application (dApp) platform and Ethereum competitor that focuses on developer and user-friendliness. Its native NEAR tokens are used to pay for transaction fees and storage on the Near crypto platform.Resource

    What Is Governance Tokens?

Governance tokens are a type of cryptocurrency that allow tokenholders to vote on the direction of a blockchain project. The primary purpose of governance tokens is to decentralize decision-making and to give holders a say in how the project is run.Resource

    What is Staking?

Staking is a process in which cryptocurrency holders volunteer to take part in validating transactions on the blockchain – in other words, checking that the ledger all adds up. The checking is not done by individuals, but by computers in the blockchain network, often via third-party staking services.Resource

    Introduction
    Method

In this dashboard, we are going to analyze governance voting and staking in 3 blockchains NEAR, Osmosis and Axelar over time. The criteria analyzed in this dashboard are:

    Governance Voting

    • The total number of proposals, votes and voters in 3 blockchains.
    • Weekly number of proposals, votes and voters in 3 blockchains over time.
    • Cumulative number of proposals, votes and voters in 3 blockchains over time.

    Stacking

    • The total number of stakes, stakers and staked volume based on native tokens and USD in 3 blockchains.
    • Weekly number of stakes, stakers and staked volume based on native tokens and USD in 3 blockchains over time.
    • Cumulative number of stakes, stakers and staked volume based onnative tokens and USD in 3 blockchains over time.

For this purpose, the following tables have been used by blockchain:

    NEAR

    • Staking: near.core.fact_staking_actions
    • Voting: near.core.fact_transactions, near.core.dim_address_labels labels and near.core.fact_actions_events_function_call

    Osmosis

    • Staking: osmosis.core.fact_staking
    • Voting: osmosis.core.fact_governance_votes

    Axelar

    • Staking: axelar.core.fact_staking
    • Voting: axelar.core.fact_governance_votes

    Tip

In this dashboard, by entering the number of past months, you can see the analysis related to that date until the current date. By default, the analysis is based on the previous 6 months until now.
