Bridger Destinations
Q5. Where do people go when they bridge to Polygon from Ethereum?
Introduction:
Polygon is a scaling solution whose aim is to provide multiple tools to reduce the cost and complexities of blockchains while improving transaction speeds. It is a framework for building interconnected blockchain networks.
Ethereum, a platform home to various dApps, is central to Polygon’s vision. These decentralized apps have made it easy for users to interact with new financial products, buy art pieces, play games, and even join virtual worlds. However, the amount of activity on Ethereum causes network clogs and raises the cost of transactions.
Polygon seeks to address some of the challenges that face the Ethereum network, such as high transaction costs and lack of community governance, by providing a sidechain solution. Polygon is a Layer 2 solution built on Ethereum. This sidechain is not an “Ethereum killer” but was created to help Ethereum expand in efficiency, security, size, and usefulness.[1]

Method:
In this dashboard, I will show polygon user’s activity just after bridging their funds to polygon and I will show platforms, and tokens types of activities that users did just after bridging to polygon.
I showed these parameters:
1-First Activity types of Eth to polygon bridger
2-10 most popular first destinations 10 most popular first destinations
And in the next section, I analyzed First Platforms, Tokens, and transaction types that users interact with, after bridging from Ethereum to Polygon:
1-10 most popular first destinations (just first transaction)
2-10 most popular first destinations (10 first transactions)
3-First types of transactions after bridging from Ethereum to Polygon
4-Which tokens do users interact with after bridging from ETH?
And then I showed Daily statistics:
1-10 most popular first destinations by day
2-First Activity types of Eth to polygon bridger by day
3-Which tokens users interact with after bridging from ETH by day
4-10 most popular first destinations 10 most popular first destinations by day
I seprated the first transaction of users and 10 first transactions after bridging to polygon from Ethereum for popular platforms and we can see that opensea has the most activities and then is hop protocol.
but the third most used platform is different in the first transaction and 10 first transactions. (avve usdc and zigzag exchange)
It is clear that most first types of transactions on polygon after bridging is Call,Staticcall and then Delegatecall.the other types are not popular
First tokens that users mostly interact with after bridging is ETH and then is usdc and then is sand token
It is clear that most users bridged to polygon from ETH just for polygon NFTs and second popular activity is defi.(maybe because of low gas fee of defi on polygon)
Users spent their Matic balances mostly with hop protocol and the second one is quckswap router and also metamask
Conclusion:
1-Most users bridge to polygon just for NFTs
2-It is clear that most users bridged to polygon from ETH just for polygon NFTs and second popular activity is defi.(maybe because of low gas fee of defi on polygon)
3-Users spent their Matic balances mostly with hop protocol and the second one is quickswap router and also metamask
4-I seprated the first transaction of users and 10 first transactions after bridging to polygon from Ethereum for popular platforms and we can see that opensea has the most activities and then is hop protocol.
5-but the third most used platform is different in the first transaction and 10 first transactions. (avve usdc and zigzag exchange)
6-we can see that NFT is the biggest reason that users bridged their token to the polygon.and opensea is the most used marketplace for polygon NFTs.and also the second reason for bridging to the polygon is defi .that’s because low gas fees on polygon
7-And also ETH on hop protocol is the most used token on polygon after bridging by day and also most users spent their Matic on hop protocol after bridging by day. and the second protocol that users spend their Matic after bridging is quickswap router.
In these daily based chart we can see that NFT is the biggest reason that users bridged their token to the polygon.and opensea is the most used marketplace for polygon NFTs.and also the second reason for bridging to the polygon is defi .that’s because low gas fees on polygon
And also we can see that ETH on hop protocol is the most used token on polygon after bridging by day and also most users spent their Matic on hop protocol after bridging by day. and the second protocol that users spend their Matic after bridging is quickswap router.
