• Reddit provides users with a wide range of different collectible avatars they can pair with their accounts and online personae. These avatars are made by independent artists, and can feature practically any type of image. Collectible avatars are only available for a limited time and are supported with blockchain technology.

  In fact, these avatars are stored on Polygon, which is an Ethereum-based blockchain that comes with low transaction fees. The avatars can be used as a type of profile image and are displayed via a glowing effect when shown in a comment section. The artists who create these collectible avatars usually charge anywhere from $10 to $100 per avatar.

Methods:

• In this dashboard, we are going to compare some metrics of Reddit NFTs vs some other major (ZED Run, Chumbi Valley and Chicken Derby) and overall NFTs in Polygon.
• For each NFT collection, firstly we select minimum block_timestamp from polygon.core.fact_event_logs table and then we compare sales count, total unique buyers and sellers of it vs Reddit for its first 3 months after its minimum block_timestamp.

• There are 61 minted Reddit NFT collections.
• The 2.85M unique minters minted the 1.21M tokens on Reddit NFT collection in 581k mint transactions.
• There were total 41.8K sale transactions on Reddit NFTs done by 9.1k unique buyers and 10.01 uniuqe sellers.
• Total 6420 tokens were traded among these sales.

✍🏻 Conclusion

As of findings above:

• The number of Minter wallets is over 2.86M, total number of minted 552.36K and etc.
• Secondary market Buyer & Seller refer to who purchased Reddit NFTs in secondary market and didn’t mint it.
• The Reddit NFTs sold out more than 167 ETH in total.
• In comparison to the vast bulk of Polygon's NFT collections, Reddit NFT is clearly superior.
• Sales transactions count, sales volume in ETH, average sales price, and floor price are following this trend over time.
• Also cumulative sales count and volume against to Polygon NFTs in general, increased in Reddit NFT over time.
• New users with Reddit NFT increased over time.
• In its first three months, Reddit NFT beat Martians in ETH sales volume, number of sales, and buyers and sellers. Compared to Reddit NFT, this collection attracted more customers and dealers and sold more.
