Avalanche gas fees

This dashboard tries to take a deep overview about what are the top projects that are generating the most fees on Avalanche as well as the total gas being spent on the network.

Avalanche is a relatively new blockchain platform that was launched in 2020. It was created with the aim of offering high throughput, fast confirmation times, and low transaction fees. One of the ways that Avalanche achieves low transaction fees is through its use of a unique consensus mechanism called Avalanche-X. This consensus mechanism allows for parallel transaction processing, which enables a high level of scalability and reduces the gas fees required to execute transactions on the network.

Gas fees are an essential part of any blockchain system, including Avalanche. Gas fees are the cost of executing a transaction or a smart contract on the blockchain network. These fees are paid in the form of AVAX, which is the native token of the Avalanche network. The amount of gas fees required for a transaction or smart contract execution depends on several factors, including the complexity of the transaction or smart contract, the current network congestion, and the gas price set by the user.

Dapps and contracts generate different gas fees on the Avalanche network. Dapps are decentralized applications that run on the blockchain, and they typically require fewer gas fees than smart contracts. Smart contracts, on the other hand, are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into code, and they can be more complex than dapps, thus requiring higher gas fees.

    Methodology

The idea is to create a dashboard that analyzes the top contracts and dapps that are generating the most fees on the network. The dashboard will provide an overview of the top 10 projects in each category, their daily numbers, and their fees in both AVAX and gas spent.

The analysis will be performed over a period of time, with a default duration of 90 days. By analyzing the top projects and their gas fees, you can identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction, helping users to reduce their transaction costs and improving the overall efficiency of the network. Ultimately, this could help to increase adoption of the Avalanche network and lead to a more sustainable and scalable blockchain ecosystem.

    Introduction
    Instructions

This dashboard provides an analysis of the top contracts and dapps that are generating the most fees on the Avalanche network, and is designed to help users optimize and reduce their transaction costs.

To get started, you can choose the timeframe that you would like to evaluate by entering the number of days in the parameter field at the top of the dashboard. Once you have entered the desired timeframe, simply click on the "Apply all parameters" button to refresh the results.

The dashboard consists of two main tabs: one for the top contracts generating fees on the network, and another for the top dapps generating fees on the network. But has other tabs related to DeFi, Layer 2 and NFT projects. Each tab will display the top 10 projects in each category, along with their daily numbers and fees in both AVAX and gas spent.

The dashboard is interactive and user-friendly, allowing you to easily navigate between tabs and adjust the timeframe as needed. We hope that this dashboard will provide valuable insights and help you to optimize your use of the Avalanche network.
