Introduction and methods

Osmosis is a network, developed through the Cosmos SDK (software development kit), using the infrastructure provided by this giant, which seeks to be a bridge between the different blockchains of this ecosystem. In addition, it provides service to projects connected through the Interblockchain Communication Protocol (IBC).

At the same time, Osmosis is an AMM (Automated Market Maker), that is, a decentralized exchange, in which we can exchange coins from the networks to which it connects.

Since the beginning of May, I will try to find the top ten most popular contracts on Osmosis and we will calculate the cumulative total of contracts launched on Osmosis. The main things we will compute on the analysis are:

• Top 10 Osmosis contracts by usage since May
• Daily and cumulative new contracts since May
• Weekly and cumulative new contracts since May
• Monthly and cumulative new contracts since May

Finally, looking at the top 10 contractsit can be seen how the top 1 is the contract number 1 with over 23% of the total transactions followed by the number 678 with over 16%. The number 560 had 11% of the top 10 total transactions. Other important contracts are 56º, 722, 497, 608, 565, 5 and 498.

Since the beginning of May, a total of 468 different contracts have been deployed on Osmosis blockchain. The day when the most of new contracts appeared to the network was May 1st. It seems that currently, the number of daily new contracts decreased considerably. Since the Terra Crash, there were 2 different days with more around 31 new contracts coming to Osmosis. May 10th just during the UST depegging and June 13th.

In terms of weekly stats, the best week was the first one with over 160 new contracts followed by the week of UST depegging with 87 new contracts. Finally, another important week was the 13th June week with 49 new contracts deployed.

Finally, looking at the monthly stats it is a clear downtrend. The major of the 468 new contracts were deployed during May.

Conclusions and key insights

In this dashboard we have investigated about the Osmosis contracts since May 2022. The main key insights found are:
