Validator Voting Behaviour

Here I compare the voting records of two validators on the Terra blockchain: one which is associated with Terra and is well known in the community, Terra Bites, and one from an unassociated 3rd party, Accomplice Blockchain. Terra Bites clearly has much higher participation in governance, voting a total of 46 times, and voting yes 40 times. Accomplice Blockchain by contrast rarely votes, and when they do they only vote "abstain". This is a trend across many Defi applications. Governance participation is usually limited to a small group of active community members, while the majority simply stake their funds and take profits. Improving governance participation is a key challenge for Defi protocols to address if they want to achieve the goal of being truly decentralised.
