    introduction

To check the response speed of blockchains, we calculate the time difference between the two successive transactions. Considering the different process of recording information about transactions between blockchains, we check the average number of transactions per block.

    Polygon (L2)

    1. The maximum and minimum recorded time difference between two transactions .

    2. Average transactions performed on a block.

    Solana (L1)

    1. The maximum and minimum recorded time difference between two transactions .

    2. Average transactions performed on a block.

    Optimism (L2)

    1. The maximum and minimum recorded time difference between two transactions .

    2. Average transactions performed on a block.

    Comparison

The time difference recorded for successive transactions is a suitable criterion for checking the response speed of blockchains. We investigated the highest and lowest differences for different blockchains. And we found that polygon operation rate is lower than Solana and optimism. And the difference in the number of transaction records in each block shows that there is a difference in the structure of each blockchain. And it is suggested that other networks increase the speed of registering transactions by following Optimism network as a model so that users can use the network facilities more easily.

    Conclusion

    1. Surveys show that solana block chain has a high speed in registering transactions and servicing users. Solana and optimism Blockchain have higher speeds than polygon.
    2. However, Solana records about 1,750 transactions per block and optimism just one transaction per block. So speed can't depend on the number of transactions per block.
