In this analysis, the inflow and outflow of RUNE tokens to and from the crypto.com address have been evaluated.
THORChain is a decentralized liquidity protocol that allows users to swap one asset for another in a permissionless setting, without needing to rely on order books to source liquidity. Instead, market prices are maintained through the ratio of assets in a pool. THORChain acts as an automated market maker. RUNE is the native token of the THORChain network and is used as the base currency in the ecosystem.
In this analysis, the flow of RUNE tokens into and from the crypto.com exchange address has been investigated.
The required data were collected from the transfers table of the thorchain schema. The below address was attributed to crypto.com and was utilized for the calculation of inflows and outflows.

The total inflow and outflow into and from the cypto.com address have been shown in the table below. In the course of almost one year, more than 4.5M RUNE tokens have been deposited into crypto.com while only 2.2M of them has withdrawn which led to the current balance of slightly above 2.3M RUNE tokens.
The analysis of the number of senders and receivers also indicates that the address was used between August and November 2021. There have been only a few RUNE senders to this address since December 2021. The low number of receivers also demonstrates that this address has been deactivated and it has acted similar to a RUNE treasury for crypto.com which its holdings were transferred to another active address whenever they have needed liquidity.
The daily inflow and outflow of RUNE tokens into and from the cypto.com address have been plotted in the following chart. As it can be seen, the inflow was much higher compared to the outflow until late November 2021 which coincides with the end of the last crypto bull run. Since then, almost there has been no inflow and the RUNE holdings of crypto.com were transferred to wallet addresses every once in a while. Interestingly, 800K RUNE tokens were withdrawn from the exchange only on the 29th and 30th of November.
The net flow of RUNE tokens indicates that not only there has been almost only withdrawn transactions since the 29th of November 2021, but the address has also been almost deactivated and the number of transactions majorly dropped.
The net balance of top addresses sending or receiving RUNE tokens into and from the crypto.com address has been plotted in the next chart. Interestingly, besides the addresses that inject RUNE tokens into crypto.com since July 2021, there have been only two addresses that received liquidity from the exchange. These two addresses which are mentioned below might also be related to crypto.com.

In conclusion, the data have demonstrated that the crypto.com address was only active until the end of November 2021. Since then, the number of addresses sending RUNE tokens to this address massively decreased, and there have been only withdrawn from this address. The two addresses have received around 2M of the crypto.com address' tokens which accounts for around half of its balance.
