Historic bAssets Price Movements

We have seen one of the biggest black swan event in this year last May where most of cryptocurrencies project available; including $BTC, $ETH and $LUNA dropped by more than 50% of their ATH which was few days/weeks earlier. On this day, we seen many liquidations occured on Anchor and price of $LUNA reached rock bottom at $4. In this dashboard, we will dive deeper into price action of bAssets on in Terra ecosystem.

We seen worst depegging of bLUNA price to LUNA on 20th May at around 3pm where it dipped to 0.75 on average. This data is collected from burn/mint LUNA <> bLUNA on Anchor and the value is averaged. The lowest depeg value of bLUNA to LUNA is recorded at around ~0.5.

However when queried from Anchor Oracle Price Feed, it was much stable as seen from graph above. But seeing price from bLUNA/LUNA pair on CoinHall, it seems that bLUNA/LUNA peg has dropped to around ~0.5 in mid-May. So the oracle price feed does not seem to be accurate (or something wrong with my SQL).

Since bETH was only introduced in August. I will use the most recent minor crash which is in 16th Sept to 22nd Sept where ETH price dropped from ~$3600 to sub $2800 in few days.

The bETH was obtained from bETH oracle feed price. Graph above using average price in 30 second window.

As per graph above, we can see that the lowest peg of bETH to ETH is at 0.89 when the ETH price dipped below $2800 for few minutes. At the peak (when ETH at $3600+), bETH priced more than ETH.
