Staking Surge on $NEAR

The NEAR protocol is a dApp platform that makes it much easier for developers to build dApps. It focuses on scalability, a user-friendly design and developer support.

This dashboard includes the staking activities within the $NEAR protocol.

It contains metrics on total staked NEAR, total users (stakers), staked vs unstaked NEAR, total validators, and top 10 validators by the amount staked.

The number of stake transactions and users that staked is higher than the number of unstake transactions and users that unstaked. There have been 1.6m stake transactions from 393.1k unique users, and on the other hand, 467.5k unstake transactions from 269k unique users.

Also, the total amount staked in $NEAR tokens compared to the unstaked tokens is 2.3b $NEAR tokens staked and 1.9b $NEAR tokens unstaked. The average amount unstaked compared to the average amount staked is higher with the average unstaked amount being 4k $NEAR tokens and the average staked amount being 1.4k $NEAR tokens. Reason being that users usually unstake a larger or all of their tokens compared to staking, users usually stake smaller amount of tokens over time.
