$OP Airdrop
Earlier this summer, Optimism offered an airdrop to users. Let’s examine the airdrop after a few months.

As you may know, the TGE was on 31st May 2022.
At the time 248,699 users were eligible to claim a particular share of OP's total supply.
OP total supply: 2^32 (4,294,967,296) $OPs
5% of the total supply was allocated to the first airdrop round, which means ~250k users could claim their $OP tokens.
Total $OPs available for the first round: 5% * 2^32 = 214,748,365
Most of the users claimed their $OPs one day after TGE (Not on TGE day).
The key methods in this dashboard are claim~0x2e7ba6ef
and delegate~0x5c19a95c
on the $OP’s main contract (0x4200000000000000000000000000000000000042)
Today I am going to share some useful insights about $OP (Optimism Token on Optimism network) airdrop.
I suppose that there are some essential questions about this topic, so I am going to answer these questions in a minimalistic dashboard.
- How many users claimed optimism airdrop?
- How much of the total airdrop was claimed?
- How many wallets are still holding tokens from airdrop?
- How many users delegated their OPs?
- What about the token price? Which metrics have been influential?
