    ETHEREUM TRANSACTION FEES

    Transaction fees are fee paid to node validator to include a particular transaction to a block , the fee a user pay for transaction varies for different type of transactions . A user might decides to pay more fee in order for his/her transaction to be added if it is a time sensitive transaction like MEV arbitrage and other. Here i analyse total transaction fee paid for the past 30 days and total transaction fee each type of transaction has consumed.

    As shown in the chart , ethereum daily transaction fee stayed in the range of 320 ETH TO 1K ETH until August 5th whiich saw a huge spike in the total transaction fee, this was as a result of different transaction activity which happened on that a day (see below table for detail on transaction type and tota fees). Total transaction fee after 5 th of August seems in range to each others

    The chart depicts the differnt type of transacions and the total sum of the fee paid on each type for the past 30 days. As seen in the chart , swap transaction has relative high total fee (14k+ ETH) paid. This shows that most user action for the past 30 days has been more of trading onchain . Token transfer been the second in the highest fee paid, this only comprise of ERC20 token tranfer transaction. There are many other type of transaction on ethereum network ,but i only considered to show the most popular ones which accounts for a significant amount in the overall fee paid on the network.

    SUMMARY: While there are many diferent type of transaction that happens on etherrum nework , it is crucial to analyse the ones that cotributed the most fees paid . This fee are incentives to the validator for adding the transaction to the block. Due to gas pricing mechanism , the more users transacts, the more congested the network will be and the more fees user will pay , in tihis regard if a user has a time sensitive transaction to perform , he has to bribe the valiidator by paying higher gas fee for his transction to be included first .
