Introduction

Lido is a liquid staking solution for ETH 2.0 backed by a number of the industries leading blockchain staking providers. Lido allows users to stake any amount of ETH - without the need to maintain complex infrastructure - whilst preserving the liquidity of their ETH through the stETH token. This lets users stake their ETH whilst participating in on-chain activities of their choice, e.g. lending and yield farming. (Source)

Methodology

• Initially, the total amount of staked ETHs over time was obtained. To do this, transactions whose contract address is 0xae7ab96520de3a18e5e111b5eaab095312d7fe84 and whose sender address is 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Was extracted.

• Then the daily amount of ETHs staked in the last three months was obtained both separately and compared to the total time to provide a better analytical view of what effect the last three months had.

Results

• Given that 544 days have passed since the first day of ETH Staking in Lido, on average, about 7600 ETH has been staked per day.

• The chart of ETHs staked in the last quarter, especially in the first two months, shows a very volatile trend.

• If we look at this chart with a little negligence, we can see that in the first two months, we are witnessing an almost upward trend. The highest amount of ETH staked occurred in one day during the same two-month period. (March 15)

• But probably the most interesting part of this chart is the last one month period of this chart, which has a chart similar to cardiac arrest. Given recent developments in Celsius and the risk of stETH/ETH depeg, this trend has not been unexpected. Of course, from the news these days, it seems that Celsius has done his best not to let the devastating event that happened to the Luna Foundation happen to them, and they have been somewhat successful, but the very bearish situation of this market these days is such that it can not be made some relative predictions about the success or failure of a project.

• No positive signs can be seen to change the trend of recent days. We have to wait and see how Celsius strategies and market conditions will affect the situation in the coming days.

• The first chart, which compares the last three months with the whole time, clearly shows that in the last three months, a large number of ETHs staked over time have been staked. To better understand this, look at the donut chart, which shows that about 46.5% of all ETHs staked over time in the last quarter.
