Activities types
Near.Social is new to Near Ecosystem and in my opinion is MVP version. Users activities are limit and there are some basic activities that user can do. Like Add Post, like, Mint NFT, Edit profiles and ... I examined the total transactions per activity in the last 14 days. As you can see, Set event had the highest number of transactions. Set is use to give permissions and save edits. Users liked 114 posts and created 51 posts.
Introduction
In this edition of The NEAR Foundation's "Insight of the Week," I picked out Near.Social Platform.
WHY? Near Foundation seems to be investing a lot in their web3 social platform. To grow their web3 social, Near foundation uses Twitter (which has more than 1.4M followers) as a platform to advertise Social.Near. They recently ran a hunt on Metricsdao that forced users to create Near.social profiles. Therefore, I examined Near.Social over the past 14 days based on that.

What is Near.Social ?
near.social is a social network dedicated to NEAR community and NEAR blockchain. A community that is open and welcoming for newcomers.
As a founder, you'll be able to share progress about your project. Build your audience and get feedback. Collaborate and get support from other founders. As an artist, you'll be able to share your art, engage your fans and community, as well as give and receive feedback. As an influencer, you'll be able to grow your audience and have a more focused conversation with your community. And as a simple human, you'll be able to follow progress of your favorite projects, learn and discover what is happening in NEAR and find new friends.

Method
The goal of this dashboard is to be brief and focused on excellent-quality visualizations
I recently created a Social.Near profile. I used my transactions hash and examined activities in near.core.fact_receipts table. I found that each transactions sent to Social.Near wallet. So, by using that table, I joined my findings to Event and transactions table.
Near.Social Overview
A beta version of Near.Social was available to users with invitations, but recently they launched a public version allowing anyone with a .near wallet address to join. With knowing that, In the last 14 days, Over 750 wallets were active on Near.Social. These users had 9.3K activities on Near.social. Alsmot 12 transactions per user. Currently, Near.Social users can do a variety of activities such as create posts, like, mint NFTs, edit profiles, etc.
New Users
As mentioned in the previous section, Near.Social has 764 active wallets. About 60% of these users are new to Near.Social. This platform has had 434 new users in the last 14 days.
There was a spike in new users joining Near.social after February 17. Metricsdao hunt was launched in that time, and it seems the hunters were joining the platform at that time because the average number of new users was below 20-30 in other days.
New Users Vs. Old Users
As far as my experience goes, new users are more active than old users because they have to grant permissions, update profiles, and search for other users' profiles. Based on the chart below, however, older users were more active than new users on a daily basis. In total, 16.86% of activities were carried out by new users, while old users carried out 83.14 %. As a result of MetricsDao hunt, new users activities increased from below 100 to over 200 in the past week. The highest number of transactions occurred during February 8-9, with 1.2K daily transactions.
Users Breakdown
To determine how users were active on near.social, I examined the number of activities per user and counted the number of users per category. A large group of users on Near.social (about 223 unique wallets ) had two activities over the last 14 days. Another large group (207 wallets ) had one transaction. It is interesting that the third group was composed of users with more than 10 transactions.
Days of the week
During the last 14 days, I examined total activities by day of the week. As a result, unlike web2 social platforms where users are active on weekends, Near.Social users had significantly fewer activities on weekends, with the highest number of activities on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Conclusion
Because Social.Near was just launched, it is too soon to discuss whether this platform is successful or not. The most important parameter for social platforms is user retention. We need more time to examine users retention. As shown by the users' activity in the last 14 days, Social.Near didn't have a good start. Almost 750 wallets used Social.Near and had less than 10K transactions, the majority of which were permissions.
