• Also, We want to know what activities new users are doing on Near in total and after joining Near.

Method

• I analyzed Near new users in three ways:

  1. Total and Cumulative Daily New Users and Transactions in the last 90 Days:

     I used the transactions table and with Min(block_timestamp) , tx_signer, I extracted the first transactions of wallets. Then I filtered the date to see the last 90 days wallets. Now I have unique new users for each day. After that, I counted the total number of transactions by these new users.

  2. First Activity of new Users:

  I used the same method for new users. But the only difference is I extracted tx hashes with them. Then with tx_hash, min(tx_signer) , I extracted the first tx hash of new users. Then I joined finding tx hashes to near.core.fact_actions_events_function_call. Now I have New users and their first activities. After that, I counted users for each activity.

  3. Total Activities of New Users:

  In order to find the total activities of new users, I did almost the previous method but I didn’t extract their first activity. I counted all users for all their activities.

First Activity of New Users

• The highest number of New users used the ‘Create Account Method. From the meaningful method, I can see Deposit and Stakem Nft buy, Nft Transfer and… These are the most popular activities for the first time that happened by New Users.

Total Activities by New Users

• This chart is based on the total number of activities, not the first activity. But as we know most of the users had one transaction. So the result is almost the previous chart.

Daily New Users

• In the last 90 days, 207K new wallets were registered on the Near chain. Based on the Daily chart, The highest number of new users have joined Near from July 8th until July 13th. In those days, Nearly 50K new wallets were created on Near. The slope of growth is good. Near keeps its growth in the last 90 days.

Total Transactions by New Users

• 207K new users made more than 2M transactions in the last 90 days. The average number of transactions by new users was between 20-30K.

New Users Breakdown

• The large group of new users on Near had one transaction. It means 67% of new users only had one tx.
• The second large group of new users on Near had two transactions in the last 90 days.

Number of active days of new Users

• Most new users on near only used Near for one day.

Conclusion

The Summary of Important Findings:

• Nearly 207K new users joined Near in the last 90 Days.
• More than 2M transactions were recorded by new users.
• Add Login, Create Account, Deposit and Stake, NFT transfer and Stargate deposit are the most popular activities for New users.
• a Large group of new users had only one transaction on Near.
