In this analysis, You will Read about Top Lido Holders on Ethereum. Where have their LDO come from? Did They Buy it to was it an airdrop?

What is LDO?

Lido is a liquid staking solution for Ethereum. Lido lets users stake their ETH - with no minimum deposits or maintaining of infrastructure - whilst participating in on-chain activities, e.g. lending, to compound returns. LDO is the native utility token that is used for: Granting governance rights in the Lido DAO.

Method

I used flipside_prod_db.ethereum.erc20_balances and looked for wallets that hold LDO. In my definition, each user who holds at least 50K LDO is the top LDO holder. So I Filtered those wallets that have at least 50K LDO in their wallets.

The below chart shows the total number of LDO activities that Top holders had since LIDO's inception. As you can see they had daily interact with LDOs.

The total number of users that holds at least 50K LDO is 377 users. These are Top LDO holders.

In the below chart, You can see the total volume of top LDO holders that interact with LDO tokens. The highest amount happened on May 9th with 14M LDO.

As I found, 47% of top holders have bought their LDO from DEXs. It means they swapped their tokens to LDO. Only 2% of top holders gain their tokens by Airdrop. 51% of Top Lido is not foundable on Tables. Maybe they buy directly from Exchange or other ways. But what is clear they have bought LDOs. Because we know the Airdrop distribution.

Conclusion

We already know that more than 350 Users have at least 50K LDOs which with at least 55K us Dollars. These are LDO whales or top holders.
