Let me count and plot the number of daily transactions and unique addresses on Polygon, beginning July 1, 2022
The green bar: number of daily transactions
The pink bar: number of unique users
The red line: the number of transactions per user.
In term of number of daily transactions, there are 02 specific periods as is shown from the chart. From 01-Jul to 05-Jul, it fluctuated slightly around < 200K except for its highest figure, which was 250.4K transactions on 03-Jul. In the second period (from 06-Jul to 09-Jul), the number of transactions had dramatical growth, which got the peak at 2.8M transactions on 08-Jul.
As the same trend, the number of unique users had 02 specific periods. From 01-Jul to 05-Jul, it decreased from 47.6K to 33.7K. Within one day from 05-Jul to 06-Jul, there was a sharp increase in the number of users, which climbed to 237.7K. Although since then there has been a decrease in the number of users (195.2K on 09-Jul), the number of users is still much higher than at the beginning of July.
The change in the number of transactions per user is the result of the fluctuation in both users and transactions. Overall, it climbed from 4.2 transactions/user on 01-Jul to 11.4 transactions/user on 09-Jul. It shows the increase in the level of “dedication” of existing users on Polygon. Therefore, based on these analysis, I believe that Polygon is still growing.
